I really love the desk and it is well made. The only reason I didn't give it the highest rating is because the filing drawer is not usable because the file folder does not go down far enough and causes the files to stick up too high to be able to close the drawer. It is a beautiful desk, tho, and that is the only thing wrong with it. I would be very happy to reccommend this desk, but not for filing.

The carving on this piece is beautiful and it goes perfectly with the wood trim in my house. It is also a great space saver and perfect for storing files and stationary.

Nice well made. it's a little smaller than what I thought it would be. but over all just what I needed.

Beautiful piece of furniture that goes well in a small corner of our dining room. We use it to sift through our daily mail.

Small desk, with two drawers and bottom file draw which holds only 10" of files, either letter or legal, front to back. Drawer is not deep enough for horizontal positioning. Supplied file supports are too deep (1"), had to replace with 1/2" rails to allow for tabs on hanging files and raised portion of file folders. Otherwise these cannot be used as 1" rail holds files at drawer top edge. Depth of file drawer is adequate to drop files 1/2" lower. Happened to have an old hanging file insert which had 1/2" side rails so I cut to size. Another solution would be to increase the the groves in the drawer by 1/2" to allow clearance above the rails. Be careful with bottom draw, when loaded the wooden drawer stops tend to get turned up and the drawer could then slide completely out. I recommend tightening the screws before using. Overall this desk is a very attractive piece of furniture, well suited to a small room where space is limited and limited file space is adequate. Drop down desk is convenient and the cubby insert very useful for envelopes, stamps, etc. I would recommend this item except for the flaw in design with the file drawer. Not everyone would want to take the time to do this modification.

Delivery was prompt. Arrival; condition good, on small dent in front on drop down, not caused in transit. This is slight and we have accepted it as is. Did not contact customer service.

This is a very impressive piece of furniture. The craftsmanship is excellen[...] The only thing that needed any "assembly" was that the legs needed to be attached - and even doing that showed me how well-made this piece is. The way the legs attach is much more secure and sturdy than most. The only thing I would point out to folks is that it's a very small piece. Perfect if you need just a little desk where you can have your laptop and a few necessities. I love it!

I am using this desk in my room with antiques. It blends well with the antiques but doesn't take over the room. My lap top works well on the desk but it takes no time to close it up and make the room neat and tidy.
