Sauder HomePlus Five Shelf Bookcase

We had an odd little pantry/closet that was a very dark. We took the door off, and searched for something that would fit into that space. This shelf fits perfectly.

The back of the bookcase is just that slip-in cardboard stuff; I was sort of hoping it'd be a solid piece. HOWEVER, this bookcase is already considerably heavy. I could barely drag it by myself, and definitely couldn't lift it enough to even work it up the stairs one step at a time, so be prepared for that (get a friend/relative!). The top doesn't have the same finish (raw particleboard, like a lot of pieces), but overall this is a great bookcase and it fills the nook in the room it's in _perfectly_. Do note that the sides of the shelves are a little recessed and the front comes out over them, so if you fill the shelves fully, you won't be able to pull out the books on the end.

Delivered super-quick right to my door and seeing I'm getting over back surgery I was expecting a big challenge. Instead I had this puppy together in less then 30 min. Everything is super solid and a breeze to assemble. I was also THRILLED to see on the box that this sturdy piece was Ohio made. Buy w/ confidence.
