The opening for the trash is the perfect size to dump the ashes... also you can empty the ashes from the top too. I'm real happy with it. I Bought it for my residential house and had a few people already comment good things about it within the first week. Even the UPS guy asked where I got it.I would recommend it to a Friend, my mother wants one as well. Was this helpful? Yes / No
