Easy to assemble. No missing hardware or tools to impair assembly. The color and look are true to what was shown on the website. I love this look so much I bought 2 in black in this size, an additional one in the same color, but slightly wider in dimension to help transform my large walk in closet, and am planning to buy one more for my living room. I just love the sleek, modern, out of the ordinary design of this bookcase!

I had purchased this to display other items instead of books, but I used it laying down as a TV stand. Ordered in the oak color, the color isn't your typical "oak," it is a very unique color actulaly. It is more of a gray oak color to be exact. It is actually exactly how the image online look, and usually, image onsite vs. the actual item are very different. Works great in a contemporary room, and could easily be incorporated into a home office, living room or bedroom. Love it! Although I am using it as a TV stand, I think the stand is good for medium sized books, even towels (seen it in a home magazine ad). Well made.

The nearest furniture store to me is over two hours away so I went ahead and ordered these since they looked so unique and nice onsite. [...]my husband, myself and our two little girls removed it out of the package and finished putting it together in about an hour and a half. It looks great in our family room and I think with another one next to each other, it'll look even better. I will be ordering another one in the next coming month. The quality is very good, for the price. Very solid, you can't tell that each shelves were put together by yourself. Thick and sturdy, so they are a great deal for the price! We are not using it as a traditional bookcase, but rather as a storage unit for decorative ornaments. I honestly can't think of anything to fault this unit, aside from the non-written instruction guide but to be fair the diagram was pretty detailed. The price is excellent for the look, so that definitely beats any flawed aspects of it.

GREAT BOOKCASE, IT PROVIDES SO MUCH ROOM FOR SO MANY BOOKS. VERY SOLID MATERIAL WHICH IS VERY STURDY. THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE COMPARED TO THE OTHER BOOKCASE OUT THERE, THIS ONE IS ONE OF THE LOWEST PRICE, BUT BETTER QUALITY. IM HAPPY WITH MY BOOKCASE.

I ordered two of these shelves for my home office. I love the modern touch. They are simple, functional, and a great addition to the room. Assembly wasn't a piece of cake, but I think that is usually the case with knock down furniture, so we were expecting to spend hours on it prior to purchasing it. So at the time of assembly, it wasn't as time consuming as we thought it would be. You do have to follow the all the directions very carefully, as a matter of fact, we looked thru the assembly instruction, find all the parts which are labeled by the way. Get an idea of what needed to be done and start assembling them. We got two in the dark walnut color, they are more of an espresso brown color, so they do pretty much compliment our mahogany furniture. Thinking of getting a second set for my kitchen area. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family as we think it's a very good buy for the design and quality.

These arrived today and are installed and will be full of books and decorations tonight. Great looking bookshelves. The design is very well thought out, althought the assembly instruction like the previous reviewer said need some more tweeting. Words would be nice, although pictures isn't so bad, just follow each step and you'll be good to go. It took my friend and I a good 3 hours to put two of these together. So for the amount of time spent, I think it's not half bad. These shelving units sparkle in my contemporary living room!

We bought a pair of these bookshelves. [...] assembly was a challenge because the tools given are pretty flimsy relative to the screws. Also, it has a very formica-like finish, not a shellac finish like we'd thought. Finally (and this was the real disappointment) the construction of the main boards is very poor: they have reinforcement at the screw holes and are hollow along the rest of the plank. We kept them because we'd paid for them and still liked the design.
