Took a bit of time to put together. Careful to not let the wood widgets dry on 1 side before you put them into the other piece of wood as it will break through. Ran out of glue and had to buy extra.

A great great buy! At first I didn't really like I but my boyfriend insist on getting this bookcase. I'm really glad that I listened to him. I stacked books on the bottom and decors on the top shelves. Assembling wasn't too bad. Two people/hour and a half...not too shabby. Love it love it!

I actually purchased two of these book shelves for my basement. They were a little diffuclt to put together, but worth it...I love the look, wish I would have order one more.

I was not home at time of delivery, had left a note on my door to please place package(s) on my enclosed porch however, when arriving home found them left outside the porch door leaning against side of house. Needless to say that it had rain very hard all day and I was worried that the rain had soaked through the package however, so very thankful that the company had very well packaged their product and no damage done.

The product is a unique design and it looks excellent with my Asian Art pieces displayed on them. The shelves had some very minor scratches (black is hard to keep perfect) and the installation was straight forward and took 30-45 minutes. These are great for the price as long as the items you plan to display are not real heavy on the out side shelves. For the price I think it is an excellent puirchase.

I'm pretty happy with the finished product; it's attractive, sturdy and provides plenty of space. Assembling it was spectacularly painful, though, mainly because of the THIRTY lag bolts that you're supposed to drive into wood with an Allen wrench. I was only physically able to complete the process because I remembered that I had, left over from something else entirely, a plastic tool that basically acts as a handle for an Allen wrench. I wouldn't recommend trying to assemble this beast without one of those, and I really think the manufacturer should have included one. I feel I should also point out how the bottom of the unit isn't resting flat, it's on a pair of feet. If you're putting this on a hardwood floor and keeping books on it, you'll probably need some kind of protector for the floor or the feet will dig right into it.

I really like the black bookcase. It looks great in our livingroom and was relatively easy to put together. I wish more of the round black stickers to cover all of the screws would have been provided even though enough were provided to covers those that would be seen. A little more wood glue would also have been nice. I am very happy with the overall quality!

The bookcase is large enough to fit everything and then some but with its open sides it does not take up a lot of visual space. I took my time putting it together and the directions were fairly easy to follow.

Just what I was looking for. Hours to put together but worth it.
