About Apex 1000
In 1919, brothers George and Jack Schulte began producing top quality brass plumbing parts and accessories in George's garage in Cincinnatti, Ohio. Each part was molded and finished by hand, then packaged and shipped to plumbers from the sidewalk in front of the garage.
By the mid-1930s Schulte Brass was becoming expert in metal castings and copper, nickel and chrome plating. At the start of World War II, the metals Schulte used to manufacture bathroom accessories were allocated to the war effort, and Schulte Brass converted its factory to manufacture parts for local defense plants.
At the end of the war, Schulte resumed manufacturing bathroom accessories, and underwent several decades of expansion and product innovation. Schulte now produces several lines of home and garage organization products, including Classica, freedomRail, Activity Organizers, and ventilated wire shelving.
